Northwest Service Academy, in cooperation with The Pacific Crest Trail Association (PCTA), is announcing a full summer of 2-9 day volunteer trail work opportunities.

“For the first time, we’ll be fielding an AmeriCorps team for the entire summer and fall, and we’ll be scheduling volunteers to assist that team along the way,” says Mike Dawson, PCTA Trail Operations Director. “This way, volunteers can make it work with their schedule and sign up for a full week, partial week, weekend or extended weekend.”

Volunteer opportunities are free and individuals, couples, groups and clubs are encouraged to sign up.

Volunteers should be physically able to hike, do trail work and be willing to camp on the trail.

Volunteers are responsible for getting to/from the trailhead and for bringing their own sleeping bag, tent, backpack and personal gear.

Volunteers will be required to complete a registration packet that includes medical form and release.

Contact Garry Hanley or 509-395-3463 to reserve your spot or get full details.
